Unconditional love is impossible to give. We don't have it within ourselves. We know it only because God has shown it. We have to accept it.

Then, and only then, God gives us the thing that we need to love the one in front of us in the moments where we had lost the feeling. The Spirit of love that fills our emptiness, and gives us the will to stand with her to face a fearsome future that will at some point make you want to fall away.

Thank you for sharing a beautiful piece along with a part of your heart. I agree with Jeffery. What you’re describing is an ache for more. Your soul is craving to worship something to fill the void that can only be filled by the Author of all stories. I pray you do find your Creator. “When the cares of my heart are many, Your consolations fill my soul.” Psalm 94:19. I wonder if you are willing to simply ask Him, “God, if You are real, will you reveal that to me somehow?”

God is Love. And Jesus demonstrated perfect unconditional love, showing grace and mercy at the cross. We can't earn it. And we can't fully know or experience it until we believe in Him.

"If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and believe the love that God has for us. God is love; whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him. In this way, love has been perfected among us, so that we may have confidence on the day of judgment; for in this world we are just like Him.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. The one who fears has not been perfected in love. We love because He first loved us." 1 John 4:16-19. BSB.

This forever love enables us to stay with the one we commit to, no matter what--because God Himself says, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

You made me cry. You understand what loving someone truly is. Discovering that you're capable of loving like this should be enough. Imperfect beings that we are, we question whether the one we love loves us in the same way.

Been married 36 years, these words echo my love for my wife.

One of my great joys is to wake up in the middle of the night and peer over at her quietly breathing with my arm around her…

These are the words of a soul who understands love in its truest form.

That holding hands with her can eclipse a lifetime of empty touch.

That sitting in her silence can speak more than decades spent with the wrong person.

It's not an illusion. You're not broken or undeserving.

You just speak a language that's rare in modern life - and that makes it precious.

As long as you can still see the potential of her, even when it's subtle or quiet, you still have a chance.

And that alone is worth fighting for.

It has to be.

Taking tha bus, on my way from Germany to Prague, i read your words, i was in amazement reading your text, there was this wholness in admiring someone elses mind somewhere across the world, i felt i am returning to my self, just by reading each word, the love, the vision, the beauty in your heart is beautiful. I miss feeling this kind of love, that i actually found but love wasn't enough, our personalities were different. This love found me. But it was not mine to hold. I am leaving now to a vacation with my family the next 10 days, it's very funny cause in the text it says the same. Enjoy your work Trip, i am looking forwards to read what you write and share on Substack - Marya

Yeah, I mean it is kinda the highest form of religion, but that's not because it's something inherently good. It's that because it serves just as a painkiller in a malfunctioning world.

I felt sad realizing this wasn't a real person + relationship.

I felt sad again realizing both that such person only already exists, in your mind + the truth that therefore they do exist.
